How's this for string algae control
« on: June 07, 2007, 06:40:31 PM »
She has begged and begged to swim with the fish.  I really didn't think she would go through with it, I sure was wrong.  But I told her, if your in there you have to clean the algae off the falls.  She calls it allergy... lol

Here is a small Video, its not real clear on here...39 sec.

More pics here  http://s35.photobucket.com/albums/d158/KyKim/Simming%20with%20the%20Fish%202007/

I threw food in by her, I think the look on her face is priceless.  She said that plant shelf she was sitting on was like sitting in a hot tub.  The video shows her bopping in the deeper part.

Love that last pix Kim!

Assuming you were hot like us, today was a good day to get in the pond!

Had to put a pot of Perry's Orange Sunset in so I had to go swimming with the fishies today too and wow was that bottom slick!

How precious! I love the part at the end where she picks up the string algae and gets that look. "YUK!"... Precious.  :)

I told her to go get get in the swimming pool after she got out.  Figured that would kill anything that was on her....she's so rotten it isn't funny.  You can tell she's a big ham for the camera.

Great shots, I love that last one also, what a feeling that would be.  Is she about 10 or 11 years old?

Great pics & looks like she had lots of fun  :) :)

One thing you might be cautious about is having her going straight from the pond to the pool.  My dad always told us to NOT use the same swimwear (even after washing) that was in a pond because it would cause problems with algae growth in his pristine swimming pool.

Sure Tink, but you would probably send her back before the day was through.  Nah, she's a pretty good girl when she wants to be.  Although I think some of those female harmones are starting to kick in.  Her name is Kassidy, but I've been calling her Sassy Kassi lately.  (ya know what I mean)

She loves the pond and plants around the yard.  She's always right there when it comes to stuff like that.  But other than that, geeez its like pulling teeth.
