My first tropical bloom
« on: September 02, 2006, 06:50:54 PM »
Today I had my first tropical lily bloom. I got "Islamorada" from Kat on Aug 18th and though the buds that were on it when I received it shriveled and fell off, new buds sprouted and this is the first bloom from those. All I want to say is "Cool!"  O0  and "Thanks, Kat!"   @O@

hmmm, mcp & Kay, I don't know why ... if no one could see the pics then I'd say it's something I did wrong, but it seems they are showing up for some but not others ...  >:(- ... anyone got any ideas why? Sean? anyone?

john- when i go to open the pic in a new tab from the missing marker, i get a 'picture expired' page. apparently your host only keeps photos for linking for a short period of time so only the first folks to look saw it. you might want to either attach it to your post or repost from a new host like photobucket. hope that helps.

dahlialama - I think you're right and have reposted the pics on another host. I'd appreciate knowing if they are visible again.

that did it John. islamorada looks as beautiful as it's supposed to. i love that lily. definitely my favorite of all the tropicals i have seen in person. the one i had did just the opposite of yours - bloom that came on it opened almost instantly after putting it in the pond and then never saw another one.
