Mickey's Super Plant Sale Extravaganza

It is today and promises to be fun for all.

Of course you all can't come, but we will have a nice Southern Cal contingent.

Just got home with a huge score. A morning filled with massws of plants, in Mikey's gardens, with people who are just naturally happiest in a garden. Nice morning to say the least - oh, and it was catered!

On the GardenWeb's California Exchange there has been a small group of us (4-6 regulars) who would get together 2-3x a year at someone's home.  After a while there was a lot of in-breeding of plants  because it was essentially the same people showing up for the plant swap bringing the same plants.  Between family and work schedules and such the group eventually quit having the plant swaps.  We hadn't met for several years.  I had not hosted one so I put out a thread on the California Exchange forum offering to host one if anyone was interested.  I was expecting a small turnout of some of the regulars and perhaps a new person or two.  We had 17 plant lovers show up with a sinful amount of plants of all varieties.  They came from as far away as Northridge and Fontana, roughly some 40 miles from here in opposite directions.  It was difficult to negotiate the area I set aside for the display of plants without stepping either on the plants or rubbing shoulders with someone....

It was great seeing Mike, Jerry and the fetching Mrs. Jerry again as well as renewing old acquaintances from past plant swaps and meeting a bunch of new people.

I was half joking when I called it A plant extravaganza, but it turned Out to be just that.
I feared I brought too much, not so at all. Many brought lots more and even had photos of mature plants so you would know what you are getting.
Mickey did one fine job, really.  Gardner's really are the nicest people, oh yeah ponders too.
We did a Koi Society annual Pot Luck at 4:00, so it was a long day.
How many photos do I post?  Will the administrator become annoyed with me?

There were a number of attractive woman at the plant exchange but I don't seem to recall seeing the blond woman in the last photo.  Me thinks Jerry has pulled another one out of his archive....

No, she was not at Mickey's, but as he said, there were attractive women there.
