Great pictures John. He or She is tiny. We have little ones like that here in spring. We call them Peepers. They make beautiful music. Don't think that is a Peeper though just a baby green frog. Thanks for sharing with us. O0

Susan,  The dark stripe and the size lead me to believe it may be "Little Grass Frog" (Pseudacris ocularis). I can't find a pic of one that is as green as this one, but the descriptions all state that green is one of the variations. The dark stripe through the eye is this frog's "most constant feature". The other indicator is the fact that it is so tiny. Little Grass Frog is billed as "the tiniest frog in North America, 1.3 - 1.9 cm (0.5 - 3/4 in) in length". It seems to fit but I wish I could find a pic of one that was more green like the one here.

Very cute! The ones I have are about an inch long. We found an albino this year!
The area We live in is very bog-like in the winter. When it starts raining the frogs start singing!
People not used to the area kinda freak out at the noise of the frogs looking for a mate! It's quite deafening! We don't even notice it after awhile! LOL
This time of year, while watering my potted plants, I usually scare up a dozen each time I water. I have gotten immune to them and catch the ones who get into the house.
With a new pond in the back yard, I'm expecting some tadpoles this spring, unless the fish eat the eggs. Don't know all the pond stuff that goes on.   Nancy
