IMO, bream - yes and all your new gf fry will be history
IMO, bass - no because ALL your GOLDFISH will be history!

and so, I am right now looking for 2 bream to put in the pond ... I'm being overrun by literally thousands of rosyredminnow and gf fry ... hopefully the bream/bluegill/sunfish will solve my problem without disturbing the grown gf/koi...

Bass will eat any fish they can get in their mouths and love goldfish.

Bass get huge, they need a big pond.  And lots of fish, frogs, anything that moves, they will eat.   8)

In Louisiana it's illegal to use goldfish for bait.  At our previous location a bluegill ended up in the pond. I did not put it there. I do not know if the kids put it in or it came in as an egg on a bird. The few gold fish were OK cause they were larger than 6" bluegill. It messed with my lilies until I put a pot of gravel in the pond. Then it tried to nest in the gravel instead of my waterlilies.

Depending on the type of bass you put in there: smallmouth or largemouth would determine how many and how fast your goldfish disappear..... {:-P;;
