This Chemo didn't knock him for a loop like the first one. He has eaten well the whole time and is holding his weight well. He has not needed the anti nausia meds near as much. His hair has been falling out for about a week so his daddy gave him another "buzz" today. He went home yesterday and is doing well. They expect mucus membrane tissue sores which may put him back in the hospital if he won't swallow food or liquid.
As soon as all the stats are showing good numbers, he will be hospitalized to harvest his stem cells. Then when the next Chemo is done, they will put them back to help offset the bad effects. Amazing what they know and can do, isn't it?
