Woohoo! I'm so excited!
« on: June 23, 2007, 06:35:54 AM »
Went out to turn off the waterfall pump before going to work yesterday afternoon and was surprised to find a new resident. This shot was taken thru a glass sliding door approximately fifty feet from the pond so it's not very clear, but you can see the cutest little turtle basking on the log in the middle of the pond! He/she won't let me get close enough for an accurate ID before diving into the water, but comes back up on the log fairly quickly. Looks like either an Eastern Painted or an Eastern Red-bellied Turtle. Either way, I'm thrilled he/she chose my pond as I've considered buying a turtle (or two or ten). Sure hope it likes the accommodations and decides to stay. @O@

(A gal after my own heart- When you want something, why not just get two. Or ten. Etc.  {:-P;; )

I hope the new resident decides to stick around!

 Oops! No wonder you didn't see anything--looks like I forgot something in all my excitement. Hope this works or I'll be even redder!

If you think that your question is dumb, imagine how totally stupid you will look if you don't ask it.

Drats! I obviously don't know what I'm doing (or trying to do!)  First it doesn't show, then it says it's too big, then it tells me I already posted it but it's not showing.  :swear: Is there an emoticon for the total frustration I'm feeling? Anyway, let's see if I can put a link to photobucket (I swear it's really there). Thanks for your patience!
