I am not sure I have seen this pond plant mentioned on here or if I have just missed it but it is beautiful.   The white flowes have bright red spots on them and the cone in the middle is reddish.

JoshS... when you identified it for me, you said to watch out for stallions..had no clue what you meant but now I do I think.. its got a "runner" type thingy that is already 3 ft away from the mother plant and its got several new babies coming out of this runner.  its not even made it into the bog yet.  Thanks......

Yerba Mensa...yep it is a great plant...I've had one for a couple years now...and have to keep it hid away or everyone tries to buy it  ;D.....It is definitely a WOW plant....I'll tell you now-after a few years of trying to please it....It likes wet feet and dry ankles...now that I have it like that it has finally started producing tons of babies....

mcp.. yeah what she said lol...  I never know names though josh told me I couldnd remember.

tranquility.. that probably explains why it is going to town.. its on the pond berm between the big pond and the bog.  its not down in the bog yet but am sure its getting some moisture from that.    I think in the right conditions it will be a weed but who cares its so pretty.  I already shared 3 of them and theres more out there soon to have a good set of roots.
I just have NO clue where I got it.. had to be from someone on here.

I think that is the one I have that's also called Bear's root. Mine's not flowering yet. Maybe I should move it up, I have it submerged a couple of inches.

yeah it is to cool.. wish I would have known leeanne.. I almost threw one in your box I shipped today but thought well she might not want it and I didnt want to up the postage anymore since we are in such different zones.. you need to move to my neck of the woods.. then we can shop and you can teach me how to garden :) I am truly sick of planting and moving. things getting to big, pretty for a short time then  a huge yuck space... .the list goes on and on...

Tinkster, You've got me all wrong if you think I'm not constantly digging up and moving plants. It is part of gardening. One must tweak when things get too big or bigger then the tag says they will. Sometimes I decide I'm sick of a plant and toss it and plant new ones in it's place even if nothing was wrong with it. Sometimes I move them less than a foot and if they are big and I make him do it, DH just shakes his head but I know that all gardeners move plants.

Any photos I have seen of your yard look to me like you know how to garden. You've always got a lot of color and texture. Like the photo above.

I would like to go shopping with you though, you do find the neatest things for cheap. I suck at it.

I dont know anything about how it transplants or moves but If its rooted elsewhere I will be glad to pot ya one up and throw it in a box.  I would be game for a trade or if you just wanna do postage.  I will check tomorrow and see if "SHE" is rooted elsewhere yet :)
