This years Lotus's
« on: June 26, 2007, 10:07:47 AM »
There finally starting to look like there going to make it, although they are still pretty small.  Out of the 4 pots I found a bud on 2 of them.  The one in the black tub, is the one I got from Johns this year.  If they make it through the winter, they should be good to go next spring.

Looking good, Kim  O0  Glad to see you have buds with only a few aerial leaves... that gives me hope I too will have at least one bloom this season  :ok:

The first pic was taken yesterday, and the last pic was taken a few weeks ago.  Yes, Joey you may end up with a bud, fingers crossed.

Your Lotus's are looking very good.  I like the way you put the pots in the ground, thats a very pretty way to display them.

One of my lotus survived the winter but still no buds.  It didn't bloom last year either so O'm hoping it will this year.

best way to hide terra cotta colored tubs i've ever seen. the mulch just makes them blend right in like nothing else i can imagine. great job.  O0

hope you get to enjoy many beautiful blooms for your effort. i know my sunken tubs have performed quite well so far. almost as well as the pond but with less lilies in them! i've been thinking of trying to sink a few round ones in a few spots and yours really give me inspiration!
