I will re-visit this post tomorrow. There is too much here to comment on (so late)! I love your ponds, to say the least. That Water shield is awesome. Want to hear more about how you cultivate that- I've had no luck. And what is that underwater plant? Is it Crassula (sp)?

Gorgeous!  I too love the veggie filter pots, I've filed that away for the future pond.  and I'd also love to know what that underwater plant is.  The plants in your waterfall look great, what are those?

The Water Shield i grow in pots potted just like you would a lily but its just strands of it just like a water lily but without the rizome .The plant in my filter is Water Clerey and the unwater water plant is Anachris that i just got trimed it was over 2 feet long this year . I have a total of 3 ponds and am planing an above ground pond next year . Im glad you all like the pics . I love my ponds .

How do you get the anachris to stay in one bunch like that?  Do you tie it together?  That stuff drives me nuts, the fish like it and I know it is good for the pond but it roams around in strands and gets caught in the filters. I finally took it all out of the pond and just have it in the skippy, even there it migrates around and stopped up the falls once.

speaking of falls, it is the evenness of the water flow of your ledge falls that really impressed me!  the ponds look great in general but those rock falls are exceptional!! 




i also really love that orange daylily - very attractive!
