thanks guys, I'm having fun with the tripod. My next attempt is going to be catching the fish in mid-swim.
I was also a little dubious about getting the lights. The minimalist in me was a bit appalled I think
Then I put them in and discovered how much I like just sitting and watching the fish swim through the jungle of lily stems, it looks like a different world at night with the lights. The one under the waterfall that changes color was the most adventurous for me, I do like it though and I have it pretty deep and hopefully not garish. I have had a moment or two when I wondered if I had gone too far. Oh well, even if I have I'm enjoying it and one of the pleasures of getting old is being able to just enjoy stuff and not worry too much about how others see it.
Yes, algae grows on the lens pretty quickly. I notice that the light dims and gets even more mysterious so it doesn't bother me. When I'm in the pond for another reason, I pull up the lights and clean off the algae.
