"It's Showtime!"

This is a letter I sent to a few friends!
today was super, an ego trip!
It is a very short film to be submitted to Film Festivals.  I will have a copy and I bet Sean can even get in on the site.  At least part of it.
There is an audience of elderly folks and Millicent the Magnificent (me) comes out of retirement.  I do a magic act, no speaking but I screw up most all of it, intended!  I would have anyway.  I play a pompous jerk!  The wife says it  Comes naturally!
I am the star!  So, good or bad I will be seen by lots of Industry people. Hopefully.
The crew kept cracking up.  Id say "Do you guys really think this is funny?"  They all said "Hell yes!"
I wore a magicians costume and was very hot!  Hot meaning temperature.

It was fun and now I know a few magic tricks!  Sorry, can't reveal the tricks.  It is a code among us magicians! LOL

Oops!  I forgot to state the name of the flick. It is "HAT TRICK."
It is a student film, but the crew was seasoned and the equipment was good.
The outfit I wore was used for a few years by a "Groucho Marx" impersonator.
There is no pay, but hopefully other advantages.
The director read my resume and  asked me to do the announcement sign on chalk board (Sign painter) I did and  they were pleased.


I was told by an actress on another show that she did 11 shows for food & copy.  of the 11 she only got one!  These guys were very impressive and i feel confident they will come through!

Speaking of magic tricks.....Did you see how Sean made someone disappear?  Pretty nifty!

Thank you so much for everything Jerry. The footage looks great and you were wonderful to work with. We were very lucky that you were also a sign painter, because it looked great. I guess we were lucky because we shot on 7-7-07.

Well done Jerry.

You must be the only person breaking into the business who is not also currently waiting tables. A WAM (waiter, actor, model). Also one of the few that is actually getting parts!

It was a blast.  I have an audition tomorrow for a another speaking role.  Dennis Haysburt is the producer.   I sure hope I can do it well.  I have it down pat...almost. @O@

Thanks.  I think I did well.  Never saw so many gorgeous girls at one audition.
I am told by the pros, that when you do an audition, forget it.  if they call swell. 

The good news is I was the ONLY geezer there! ::) ::)

An actress told me she was promised copies 11 times and got but One!  I told these guys Id be glad to pay for copies and photos, they said  "Not a chance!" so they seem solid to me.
It is great fun.
 I asked one of the girls who looked maybe 21 how long she has been in the Biz, she replied "10 years!"
 Im a newborn.
