Well, I took vacation days on Thursday and Friday after the holiday, and by Friday I was itching to do something.  So what's a boy who's obsessed with ponding to do when he has a whole day off?  Build another lily pond!  LOL  When I got the kids' snapset swimming pool (like the ones Shanna uses) out of the building earlier this year, the side was busted.  The bottom liner part was still fine though, so I cut the outside ring off and used it to line a new lily pond.  It is about 18" deep, and about 5' wide...  Put my lotus in as my centerpiece, and have lilies all around it.

Some shots of my Hollandia's first bloom, attraction, colorado, moon dance, commanche, etc....

My rusty metal 3d frog sculpture I got at our huge annual Arts & Crafts Fair over the holiday for $8- he is about a foot long.

Thanks for looking!

Your new lily pond is very nice.  You have a lot of lovely lilies.  That frog sculpture is very cool.  Those are great photos, thanks for showing them.  emm

See you did your part by recycling, that could have ended up in a landfill.  But since your addicted you created something beautiful with it.  You did a great job.

Very nice little pond. The Lotus looks happy. Will it bloom this year. I also like your frog and your gorgeous lily and Hibiscus blooms. Very nice photos.

Thanks everyone for the compliments....

Sue- definitely hang on to that snapset if it breaks- that liner from the bottom will make a nifty little pond  ;)

Bonnie- I am definitely addicted, I will admit it   :)  And my head is spinning with ideas for a lily pond that could be done with a 27' pool liner!!   :D

Maryvonne- I sure hope my lotus blooms this year.  I bought it from Kat this spring, and it was a nice mature sized tuber.  It is a Carolina Queen.  I have been feeding it plenty so that hopefully it will bloom at least once this year.

Kathy- thanks- we have rocks around everything.  I love rocks.  We have an unlimited supply of these nice fairly flat rocks just down the street from the house- it is very handy!!

Thanks again all
Joey

Great pics.  YOu are so lucky to have an endless supply of rocks.  I am always looking for them.  Last year I seen one at the side of a road and I pulled over to get it it was almost too big for me to pick up but I got it and I got poison ivy too  :(.  My mom asked me if it was worth it and I said "definitly"  @O@.  My hubby says I need help  :D but I think nice big rocks make things look natural.

Well, I guess I'll be going out to the trash this evening to dig out the first pool I bought this spring that I threw away a few weeks ago. The sides looked like they were melting and warping in the heat after I set it up and filled it with water and so it was starting to collapse. I had to go get a different one. I guess I better save the bottom part! ;D

Your little pond looks great! The plants look happy. Good job! O0
