I have a small 500 gal pond plus half barrel tubs which I use Microlift sludge away to help control debris at the bottom.  I don't have plants/trees that litter into these bodies of water but my neighbors' trees like the water....way too much  >:(-

I fact I use many of the products from this company to keep my bacterias happy  8)

Forgot to add:  DH uses a hose to suction water from the bottom of pond weekly and adds new water.  Dirty water is a fabulous fertilizer for plants around the yard - DH says his favorite tree is growing greener and taller than it did before the pond watering  :D

I just got some microbe lift today but it takes 16 ounces to dose my pond and at 20 bucks a pop that gets expensive .

Are you talking about adding this to a new pond or an uncycled pond?

If you are wanting something to help clean your pond from debris:
Clean your filters thoroughly
Take a Pond Vac, Shop Vac, etc and clean the bottom,(I assume you don't have a BD) enough to do a 10-20% Water Change would be wonderful.

You will be amazed if you do Weekly Water Changes.  Definately not $20 a pop and much more healthy of an environment for your fish.
