Is your pond entirely above ground, or is some of it dug into the ground?
After seeing the many photos here of people with ponds framed by landscape timbers above ground, I'm realizing I could greatly expand my pond's capacity without digging any more (there is NO more room in my tiny yard), by going UP instead of OUT.
It's half in ground & half out .
GREAT job Bonnie!! What a pro! Got me ready to do the same thing!! How did you attach the logs at the corners?
I used the 3" screws ( the kind that has a small square in the middle , my bro picked them up for me & I forget what he called them ) to hold the ends together.
I put the timbers together by useing a drill bit bigger than the 3" screw . I drilled the hole's about 1/2 way down in the frist timber . That way it would hold both the top timber & bottom together. About 4 screws on the top of each board .
I've got another 100 gal. pond I think I'll convert like this, I like how this look's .
