Pictures say more then thousand words - July 2007
« on: July 31, 2007, 07:10:48 AM »
I was going to make several new threads and put everything in words .. but then while I was watching my photos in a slideshow, I realized that words are perhaps not necessary :)

The newest photos come first, then the oldest from the beginning of July.

My niece is in quite a few photos, she was staying with me for a few days and enjoyed playing in the garden with Heba.
-actually, she did hand feed the fish!

Some other photos might be xxx rated in the U.S.A. (??)
-over here they're not LOL - I'm fertilizing the Water Lilies and just "took the plunge" without waders ;)
-no waders required for a "Viking-Woman", it was 68°F in the water at that time LOL
-actually it was such fun and very refreshing :)

thanks for looking :)

 :2thumbs:

now i know for sure you are my kind of person. someone else who hangs out in the yard in their robe!!  ;D

and last i checked we haven't put any parental controls on one piece bathing suits since the early sixties or before  ;) although the pond does seem like an odd place to practice your crane position  ::) i guess now we've got our own pinup girl  :D

lots of beautiful pics here that i really enjoyed over my morning coffee. well worth my time to see how all the time and love you have put into your garden has paid off. you've come a long way from the construction photos you showed us last year!!  O0

i am wondering what this plant is. it's beautiful!

there may be a bit much for people with dialup to see them all. i would suggest that dialup folks just go to the photobucket site and pick out some to get a better look at. Kristin has some beautiful photos here that are worth seeing!! such a beautiful pond, yard, pets, family members and even sunsets & storm clouds!
try this link if you're on dial- up:

thanks again Kristin for sharing your ongoing experience in ponding with us!!

Kristin,
I enjoyed your photos, what a darling neice and you are lovely!  I would not get in my pond at all ... bathing suit or not, too slippery, small, and well, it's just creepy in there!  lol  It looks to me as if you totally enjoy your home and yard  O0

Beautiful photos!  Your pond is fabulous.  I am in my pond about once a week.  it is the easiest way to get all the fading leaves.  Do your fish swarm around you?  Mine get all in my feet and nibble my legs.  Last time I was in there for a bit and hubby joked that I better check the  pockets of my shorts, I was bound to have fish in there :D

Kristin, your niece is adorable, love that red hair!  I really like the longer grass up near your waterfall combined with the grass running right up to the edge of the pond.  Gives it an especially peaceful feel.  Your whole garden is beautiful.  emm

Stunning! I spent so long looking at your pictures this morning, I was almost late to work! Printed and bound, they would make a perfect coffee table album where one could take their time to drool over your extended family, pond and yard   8-)~ Thoroughly enjoyed them  o(:-)

Kristin-
that was really fun! Thanks for posting it that way. I love to see everyone's pics!
The pond is spectacular, the dog adorable and that is the most gorgeous cat I have ever seen! Is she yours? Looks like she's really watching her step there on those rocks!haha!
Your white koi looks just like one I had until the heron got him last year. :'(
He was just getting big enough to see him from the house (and the sky i guess)

oh WOW .. you people are amazing - THANK YOU  so much everyone! :)

about Miz Fluffy / Princess Pim (Prim)
..you see, I did name her Prim but it was misspelled in her health certificate .. sooo, the name Pim somehow got stuck on her LOL
-She is actually named "Prim" by me, when she came to me 3 years old (she's now 7). She had the name "Princess" (Icelandic; Prinsessa) when she came and I wanted to give that Princess a name ;)

And yes, she does have a SCARY facial expression at times LOL!
..actually a friend once said to me, that she "wouldn't want to meet that cat in a dark alley" LOL
-but she's different in photos then in "real", pictures of her are more "scary" then her facial expressions "live" :)

And about the "xxx rated photos" ... you see, I had uploaded the photos of myself in the pond for family & friends to see "proof" that I did indeed go in there wearing only a bathing suit & sandals.. so Jerry & LuAnn, no need to go in barefoot you see ;)
..so, I didn't take these pictures out before I shared the album with you guys LOL

Ed (thedahlialama); Thank you for creating the link for Dial-up'ers :)
-oh, and there is such a thing as "a crane position"? LOL

Joann; Heba Isabel (English Bulldog) is 2 years old next September.
-the flowers are Primulas (I think) or Mimulus as Lee Anne suggested - I'm not sure, actually :)

Again, THANKS for your lovely words :)

Kristin, i guess the movie "The Karate Kid" wasn't such a big hit over there, huh?  ;D

it is a martial arts stance that was made famous by that movie here.

i'm glad you didn't edit your album before sharing. getting to see the real people behind their ponds is always a treat. i really ought to get my tripod out and get some shots of myself around the pond and yard since i keep saying that to other people.  {:-P;;

..OH ... myyy ....GOD!
-Dianna, your Max is GORGEOUS!  o(:-)

What a "Hunk"  8-)~

I agree with Kim and Celia, Max can breed with my Heba anytime he likes! ..waaaaahh..  :D (actually Heba is in heat at the moment - I won't let her out of my sight outside, and keep her on a leash at all times of course .. )

THANK YOU for showing me this photo of him, he's obviously so precious!
-do you have more photos of him? ..oh, what a silly question - of course you do LOL

I really would like to see more - that is if you don't mind :)

oh, and Ed; Yes - the film "Karate Kid" was a big hit here - but not my cup of tea really .. so no wonder that I don't know the "crane position" ;)
-and YES!- You should definitely take lots of photos and share with us!  O0

Well Kristin I have some sad news. Max can unfortunately only be a companion to Heba as he is devoid of the proper equipment.  But I do of course have pictures. This is what he does best:
