My first dragon fly.  not a good picture but she wouldnd sit still ... do they suck juices from plants or something.. she was right on the tip of the lotus bud.

I love our dragonflies.  No...they are one of the good guys and don't bother plants at all.  They just eat other bugs.  Like mosquitoes!  Down here another word for dragonfly is mosquito hawk  ;D

Love the picture of your dragon fly. Is this on the lotus Rose Plena? I have never been able to get picture of  dragon fly I am impressed. Thanks for sharing! O0

Probably a male, they perch on high points around the pond to survey their territory.
