Lotus bloom and lily pics

Well, my lotus opened its first bloom this past week, and I had several lilies blooming.  Here is the lotus- a Carolina Queen:











(And no there isn't a square-billed goose waddling up to the pond in this next pic.... that would be the shadow of my hand holding the camera over the pond lol )

Gloriosa's first bloom... I thought it would be too similar to my Attraction, but they do look very different in person...  I really love the petal shape and count on the Gloriosa:

'Carolina Queen' lotus is already on my list for next year.  I would have bought on at Perry's Water Gardens two weeks ago, but they did not have one potted up.

Beautiful pics, you are sure having a great season of blooms.  My favorites are the white Lotus and the white lily in the barrel with the pads hanging out over the edge.  Very pretty

That took a long time to load, but it was worth the wait!

So many pads and flowers from that one bitty body of water!

The lotus are really pretty.  And what a feat of nature, to hold that heavy flower up on such a taaaaall stem!

Just beautiful. I must say you do have what it takes to have nice lillies. Thanx 4 sharing! Hopefully next season when people devide I can snag some different colors. I have 3 or 4 of the same one I devided no name that's pink and then a dark fushea color.
