Those are some really nice shots.  Could be on a wall calendar.

But so much nicer out in the pond!   ;)

Beautiful Gary..
Hope your recovery is/was a very short one and you are feeling better today.

I 'thought' that Dallas was a light pink though??

Shanna, Yes you have to get it....you will LOVE Perry's Orange Sunset!

Very nice,  my pads are just all chewed up by snails or something this year, just ugly.  Hope all went well with the surgery and you are back to taking more photos.

Thanks everyone for your well wishes as the Vikedon wears off my abdomen from Hernia repair is sore but improving.  I guess I moved too many lily pots over the years or one could say its just a passage right into old age.

Hey Bonnie:

I don't manipulate the color on my photos, but I do use a circular polarizer that tends to darken the photo, i.e. eliminate reflection.  While Dallas looks lighter pink (tends to reflect light readily) in the sun it truly is a solid pink in the shade.

Gary

Remember, lift NOTHING weighing more than a milk jug for the next two weeks...... so behave yourself Gary!

So Dallas is a solid pink?   Does it seem to be a good preformer for you because I might have to give it a try again.  The one that I got from Texas Waterlilies just sat there for the longest time and eventually died.
I absolutely LOVE your pix of it!

Also, looking at your Hermine.. I should of kept mine!

Hi Bonnie:

Is that a quart or a gallon...translating that should be okay for Iris dividing? {:-P;;  No I feel somewhat good enough to do things and catch up on honey-do's, but I know better.

I have plenty of Hermine for next Spring and since this is Dallas's second year in a 18 inch pot, I should be able to get a small tuber for you.  This year it has been an average bloomer of 1-2 blooms all the time with the occassional 3-4 bloom spikes.  The pink color is certainly less than the bright Mayla, James Brydon or Perry's Fire Opal but is closer to Rosey Airey and nnuch darker than Carnea if that gives you a better reference.

BUT Gary.. just because you feel better does not make it okay to lift and pull!
You don't want that mesh shifting and having to go back and go thru the procedure again, etc...... {nono}

Get plenty of R&R and catch up on those easy things on the Honey do list or even alittle R&R with the honeY!

As far as the milk jug, you should most likely think QT!

Very nice bloomers there Gary. You do have some nice lilies. Take it easy and let that body heal!
My lilies are covered in aphids at the moment but we are going to Victoria tomorrow for a couple days so I will have to do battle with them next week and hopefully get some photos to post. I always enjoy seeing yours.

Gary there is a reason why they gave you pain pills.... and good thing that you couldn't make it down to pull weeds! {nono}  Not that I wish you pain but you're not supposed to be doing chores like that!

MEN are so stubborn! >:(-

The weeds will be there when you heal so don't worry about them.
