Yeah I think I am throwing in the towel after this year. No more Hyacinths. Seven years is enough.  ::)

They say you can take these out when they look yellow and put in a bucket with liquid fertilizer to feed them and then put them back in the pond. I have not ever done this.

You tease...........Don't you just love the little blooms they give.

I didn't even buy any this year.  They've always done well for me, last year I had some huge ones.  Everytime I went up the road to get some theirs looked awlful, so I didn't buy.  Now that the end of summer is drawing near, I still don't have any...oh well.

Ponds are like patato chips, ya just can't have one.

Mine do the same, shrink and rot, but I know why, the koi eat off the roots.  Its like their very own veggie garden, you can see the plants moving up and down as they munch on the roots.  One batch is growing kinda behind a big pot and out of their easy reach, they are growing real nice now, crowded up and looking real happy.

Very nice!! O0 I've actually had a good WH year, more blooms than usual. What has always been problematic for me is water lettuce but this year they have done really, really well. Some of them are huge! :)

I've tried everything with mine every year and they always start nice and turn to look ugly shortly, so I may just give up on them.

Very nice!  I bought 30 or so on eBay this spring, and they have just taken over.  I keep tossing them out onto the lawn for the dogs and my 3 year old to play with, and do what they will with.  Nancy, yours just looks sad, I wonder why?
