Craig Presnell lilies
« on: September 14, 2006, 08:45:28 AM »
I have been looking for some time for some of Craig's lilies.... Foxfire, Ostara, Vanilla SKy, Allene, Tanglewood Blue. The ultimate find would be if anyone has Serendepity. To my knowledge he has not released that one to anyone yet. Being from Texas I still have a lot of bloom time left but have been unable to find a source for any of theses great items. I am very adept at propagation so A vivip, a start or even a plant that I could purchase are all possibilities. Thanks in advance for any possible help or information in tracking these ellusive items.

Sure wish I had Serendepity too!  It's my understanding that only Craig has it.

I have been begging for vip leaves or plants from Vanilla Sky, and have had no luck so far.  This lte in the season the others may be difficult to find, as they would have to be plants from corms.  Lorenzo had some Foxfire earlier.  Scroll down on the trade page and you will see his post.
Good luck on your search, but if you find Vanilla Sky, please keep me in miind.
Thanks, and happy ponding!
Frank

Hi Tammie,
Lord, I would love to be where you are right now. Ive been to HI twice. I am also a diver and would love to be able to live there. Perfect weather, perfect diving and perfect climate for our lilies. ;)

Hi matherfish,
If I have any luck I will certainly give you a heads up. Vanilla Sky is not at the top of my list. I really want Foxfire and Ostara the most. I really appreciate the look of the lilies with petals instead of stamen. Unfortunately even if I get those they are not vivips so it is the old school method of propagation. Being a Texan it is not late in my season... I will still have blooming plants for at least two more months. Our lilies have really just spread out to their fullest. O0

You might PM Lorenzo or LouAnn. I believe they both had Ostara earlier in the year.

You know you are just like my wife......you cost me money... ;)
My anniversary is in a few weeks and I spent the last three hours booking a trip to Oahu.
After checking all of the other areas I might like to visit it came back to HI...partly because of prices everywhere else and partly because it has been 6 years since we've been there. I may just have to look into seed collecting at Waimea... O0
