Here are some shots from today.  I've found the nets that cover all onf my North Ponds have kept out the Herons so my fish are getting bigger than a few inches.  The Herons are nice that way and leave the small ones for next year!!!

Very nice!! You captured the color of Almost Black. My camera always captures it as very bright red. ::) I see you also have trouble with it getting "crispy."

 Red spider has always been a good bloomer for me once it gets warm enough typically having 3-5 blooms on it all summer with  a few bursts of 6-10 blooms.

Occassionally I will get a little burn, but not too much...obviously the sun is a lot stronger where you are...here are some recent pics

Oh, WOW... I love the pics of the lilies .. and I was going to say I really like the SOS and the red spider... I hope my red spider does as well...... buttttt the last 3 pics of the Almost Black... oh, it just kills me...     o(:-)  o(:-)   o(:-)   o(:-)    If mine does not bloom I think I will just have to buy another one... seems I remember the one I purchased was not all that large.. have to check next time I am in the pond....
