The vine in the back ground is morning glories, they are growing on lattice that we used to close in the bottom of our deck
Our deck is 8 feet above the pond.

The pond is 16  ft, X 12 ft X 4 ft deep, for filtration there is a Laguna High Performance Powerflo Filter Falls w/Laguna Max-Flo 1500 Solids Handling Pump
and a Laguna Powerflo External Filter w/Laguna Max-Flo 900 Solids Handling Pump. Both pumps sit in home made prefilters. We started and finished the pond
while on holidays ( first two weeks of July ) and was dug by hand and all the stone was collected from the edges of a small river near by, talk about
a work out. My wife came home with some feeder gold fish about a month before we started the pond to put in a small 50 gal water feature so now
they are 5-6 inches long and doing great in their new home . We have just ordered 12 wakins and since we are not sure how they will over winter we
have decided to leave 6 in the pond and put 6 in a 100 gal aquarium in the house till spring and the wife is allready thinking of another smaller
pond incase they breed.

O0 O0 O0 Fabulous job for a first pond!!  I think many of us are envious of the size you were able to begin with.  Show us your wakins when you get them.

You all did a great job on it.  Its very pretty, the morning glories are nice growing up the wall.  How do you keep them from taking over everything.

Kim

Ponds are like patato chips, ya just can't have one.

beautiful pond!

The wakins are quite winter hardy, but use it as a good excuse to have some inside to play with over the winter!
