Where to Buy a Pump?
« on: September 07, 2007, 02:36:44 PM »
I'm thinking of upgrading from a 900gph pump to a 1200gph.

The cost at my pond store is $170, and I think it's PondMaster brand.

Any ideas on where to get a good pump for less money?

Harbor Freight has one that is 1268 GPH. Mine is still going after two years. It sells for $45.99.

Julles,

AZponds ( www.azponds.com ) has the pondmaster 12oo gph pump for $121.95 with free shipping.  Gene at www.koivilage.com has it for $153.99, both far less than $170, and both are reputable dealers that I have dealt with for many years.

Pondmasters are a tough pump.  I've also bought from Gene, and AZPonds, great people to do business with.

Thank you!

I'm going to investigate those sources, and probably start buying my materials now, one at a time, so I'm all set when it's construction time!

Are you thinking submersible pump? They are much less efficient than external pumps. If your just in planning stages consider an external pump.

Look at gph vs wattage to do that...

I bought my Sequence external pump from Gene, and was thrilled with the service and the price.  If I ever need any more pond supplies, I'll buy from him again.   O0
