Yes, I think that is it.. It just came to me today when I was looking at the pond.. and I remember the Burgundy Princess pot being close in that area.. I knew the pot of the Almost Black was not close enought for that bloom to be it but I wanted it to be the Almost Black.. I had forgot about the Burgundy Princess that I put in the pond last year.... the center is very dark .... very lovely bloom .. but I am afraid the sun will burn it .. not this year as we have not had the normal amount of sun..I wil need to find a better place in the pond for it.. I have land plants that are just now blooming a month or two late ... thanks for you help

Did you look at the two compared side by side on that old post.  There was a good shot of both Black Prince and Burgandy Princess side by side.

Hummm, no I did not page down to that .... and I see what you saying.... I had thought I bought Burgundy Princess but maybe not... I am going to look at the bloom again to see if it is blooming on the water or above the water and look at the pads too see if that can help me ...... but from the pics you posted it may well be black princess ... still very pretty  o(:-)

I don't know, it could be Burgundy Princess. Almost Black is really difficult to photograph the true color. Its very dark in color, more so than Burgundy Princess.

This is my Almost Black

This is my Burgundy Princess. I don't have many good pics of it because it hardly ever blooms.

A fried bloom

Burgundy Princess has really dark green pads that are very round if that helps you any.

Shanna,  in your third pic, to the left of the bloom is a bud.  The bud of my bloom looked very much like that.  Very full, round and fat is how I would describe it.  And the bloom opened fully before 8 AM earlier than any of the other blooms.  Does the pads in my pic look like what you are describing?  My are very round and green but with some darker flects which I am not sure I see in your.  Are you familar with the Black Princess that Kim is talking about??
