I had poison ivy mid summer. I spent over a month in misery one way or another. Turns out I'm one of a few who have the initial outbreak and even though was taking steroid treatment and was not around the poison ivy again, had a followup outbreak about 10 days after the original. The steroids gave me more energy and I couldn't sleep so was miserable that way too. After paying for the doctor visits, over the counter stuff, and prescriptions, I spent about $100. GRRRR!!

I had gotten into it at my DH's bosses "flip house". I was doing yard work for him prior to the open house. He called a month later and asked if I would come do some more work. I wouldn't!!!

I used to get it bad but not anymore . It's been a very long time since I broke out with it .

That was some expensive poison ivy u had ! You should've told your DH's boss if he payed the bill for the
medication u had to take ....U "might" think about working for him again.... ..

Yes, I did think about it but the joke was that I earned $230 working for him and had to spend the $100 to cure my itch. GRRR!!!   When he asked me to come back, I told him why. He didn't offer to pay for the treatment.
