I feel guilty worrying about BC, how have you guys faired in these wild fires. i can't believe how many people have been evacuated, it must be very difficult for everyone in the area.

Just butting in....
I'm sure Mike is fine in the OC. Probably suffering the smoke and ashes fallout. In my neighborhood we had close calls that frazzled delicate nerves but as an after thought we were in good shape location wise from the Santiago fires. The closest it got to us was about 5 miles.

I think he's referring to Mike in L.A. (MikeW). MikeW live on a fairly steep hillside which probably could be pretty dicey should a fire break out during a Santa Ana wind. I'm disoriented as to which way the Santa Ana's come from on his property and that could make a big difference.

MikeW is in London England this weekend on a business trip, do not be concerned, His brother is house sitting for him so all is well on that front.
When I spoke to him last week, he had missed most of the smoke and ash so far. Unless things change in the LA area, I believe he is free and clear of this horrible disaster.

Well I hope you brought back some water to quench out the remaining fires. I will be in LaJolla next week so I figure I only have a few hundred yards and I can jump in the water!!!
