I too enjoyed all the Charlie Chan movies many years ago.  I was disapointed to learn several years ago that Chan was never played by an an actor of Chinese descent.  I think they ought to make a new series with real Chinese actors.  It would have to be better that CSI Miami.

Well Johns, at least I know where I'll stay should I ever go into the ancestral village of my DH.  I told Uncle that it made me itch to want to help him clean the place up when I was there.  I was so missing my ponds.  He laughed and said I should make a larger pond back home like his.  If he would write and convince my homeowners association, I can make my dream come true!

Andy with your experience you only need time, a backpack, and a readiness to try anything to go through China.  Really amazing to see in person all the beauty man-made and natural.

OMG, I'm glad this got ressurected!!!!!  Absoulutley fantasticly gorgous (still not enough adjectives) photos.  What a stunning place it must be when in bloom, I can almost smell the fragrance on the air.  Looks like such a peacefull place to meditate.
