I should have told you all we have had lots of snow this year. I use a horse trouph heater to keep ponds from freezing over.

Your snow scenes are beautiful.  That sure is a lot of snow!  It's great you can still have the fountain working.  The fish appreciate the heater, I'm sure  O0

Ahhhhh, someone not bragging about the warmth ::).   Very pretty pictures, my fish do not venture out from under the ice into the open so I have not seen them for 2 months, and will be at least that much longer probably before I can see them.

We warmed up a bit had a few skiffs  and then it's staying in the 20ies. We have had some of those beautiful clear as a bell days too. But just to ~!@#$%^&*~ cold to go out for long. I bundel up and tredge up to the barn and feed my horses and beat feet back inside.

We are in a warm up :), yesterday was -5*F(windchill of around -24*F)  today got up to 11* 8-)~ but we got snow, 5" so far and it is still snowing >:(- but the light fluffy stuff, hoping the roads are good at 5:30am when I leave for work, I hate winter driving.  We may actually get in the teens this week. @O@

Our mornings have been in the single digits with the wind chill at zero or below this week.  No snow though.  Highs have been the low 30's.  We are suppose to warm up to 50 for the weekend.   @O@ @O@ @O@

I haven't used the tank heater yet.  The water movement has kept the water open so far.  My lilies have leaves down there and the fish look good so far.

Those are great pics!
I've been away from the site for awhile since everything here is frozen solid.
We've had alot of snow and extremely cold temps this winter. Wind chills in the teens below zero for two weeks.
The hole on the ice my heater usually keeps has disappeared. It is supposed to warm up to 45 tomorrow, so maybe we'll thaw enough for it to open back up.

My pond is the coldest it's been all winter..39... that was last years high temp.  With the greenhouse cover it makes a huge difference...but this year I bypassed the waterfall and it's made a 3-4 degree difference.  With the temps we've been having the pond would have been down to 37..and maybe colder.

I should be able to start feeding fish beginning of March  @O@ which will be even earlier than last year.  Otherwise it would be late April or May before I could start to feed again

The icy waterfall is gorgeous. I have always wanted to try that, but I'm afraid I'll have a disaster.

I just love to see all the snow pics....but, sure am glad we aren't dealing with it...it has only snowed here once---that was yesterday---today most of it has melted already...
luckily we have had a really mild winter so far....the ponds have only iced over twice and only for a day or two at a time... we leave a pump going so they don't completely freeze over....and my gh gas bill has not been bad at all  @O@.....of course I have only kept it heated to the high 40s and low 50s during the night...so all of the plants look really crappy now...but, they will be getting new growth and leaves in a month or so....

Ok, this is my winter pond.  Not nearly as beautiful as your snow covered wonders but still a winter pond  ;)

Waterfall is looking hairy and mushy already and the water lettuce is melting with the cold nights of 40's degree, leaving a wonderful slim coat over the surface of the water.  Fish don't know it's winter and somebody (Honey?) was just here feeding the piggies.

This is what my SoCal winter pond looks like.  And pulllleez don't say how nice it is to have great weather.  Somebody still has to clean the hair algae and clear all the growth in the pond constantly.  I am the chosen one.   ::) 8)
