Defending the castle at all costs! My part in this was very minor and I am hoping it will provide an alternative or two to hedge our bets in the future. Looks like we are close to making that happen. Sean and Jerry did all the real work. I have found a real home here and I will do whatever is necessary to keep her afloat within my abilities to do so. If it is worth doing then it is worth doing right, Sean and Jerry are definitely doing something right!

Just glad to be home!

I am glad the site is back up as well, thanks Sean, Jerry and El Jefe for having the determination and persevering through this. One of the other forums that I frequent, bbqgalore.com, went down for about 4 months last year, we never did find out why, other than the new moderator told us that they were "re-building" the website. Another forum that I used to frequent, poolforum.com has had it's problems as well, the owner of the website has disappeared, he has been missing for over a year and a half, all of the moderators have not been able to contact him, the domain name was supposed to expire last October but the site is still up, unfortunately no new members can register, so the site is barley viewed now. Again, thanks you guys for getting everything in order!

On the road again with a bunch of my guys doing Storm Damage Assessment in Coos Bay, Oregon... What a beautiful place (remember Hitchcock's "Birds" movie?)....

But spent the weekend trying to log-in to AP and "no-go"!!!!! Checked out the other E-Sites and found out Jerry and Sean were hot after it... Thanks a million guys, there are a WHOLE BUNCH of us lurkers out here that really appreciate your hard work and thoroughly enjoy checking in, and thus vicariously becoming part of the American Ponders Family....

Coos Bay is a cool area. I think the "Birds" was filmed at Bodega Bay Calif.

Jerry, you might like this. We were shooting a Lincoln commercial up in Bodega bay in the early 90's (the whole crew stayed at the "Inn at the tides"), anyway, we had our wrap party at the Potter school house, it was pretty cool, and creepy!!

Glad I was not the only one trying to find AP over the weekend!

The movie Birds caused a negative reaction for me. Scared the #$%! outta me and now I kind of freak when a large flock of birds fly over head. Absolutely despise black crows.

Unfortunately plenty of them in my neighborhood cawing and causing a ruckus on my roof.

What disease was it? Are you sure it wasn't from eating bad food out of dumpsters?

Crows can spot a take out bag and know there may be food inside. I see that happen too often from litter on our streets.

We have rows of eucalyptus trees here from the former orange groves which attract murders of crows. In the mornings they fly out en mass and in the evenings they fly back to their roosts. What an awful sound and scene they create!! An all the poo...

He is my age. We were all in awe. I fianally got him alone and asked. "How did you get a date with her?" he said , "she is not a date, she is my wife!" ohmygod I said, "Did you lie about your age and tell her you were 50?" I did lie, he said, " I told her I was 90!"
