My little girl is growing up
« on: February 25, 2008, 06:05:33 PM »
I can't believe my little Ally turned 8 years old today.  It seems like it was only yesterday I was in the hospital holding this precious little baby.  I just want to cry thinking about it.

I feel really bad about her party though because she wants it at home and I didn't want to do it in this trailer.  I tried to get her to have it somewhere but she didn't want to.  So we made the deal that when our house is finished we will have a belated birthday party for her with all her friends.
The irony of life is that, by the time you're old enough to know your way around, you're not going anywhere

Happy birthday to your DD, Ally!  My DD just turned 22 and I feel the same way you do about how fast time flies.

Hope you and your family are well and the house is coming along!

Hi Monica, hope that things are going well with the construction of the house.

Yes time does fly by.. take in every precious moment and take lots and lots of pix, never too many.
I tell anyone with kids to get a camcorder, we didn't have the money to get one(plus they used to be alot more expensive) until DD was in her early teens but glad we got to borrow one occasionally because the videos are so great to watch.

My little baby turned 23 in December and hasn't lived at home for over a year now but luckily she is only 5 minutes away!

Happy Birthday Little Ally!

They do grow up so fast, a very happy birthday to her, congrats to you and yes I hope the house building is going smoother.   My oldest grandaughter was just 8, was a shock.  My baby (son almost 26) just had his first child, now that made me feel old, and blessed.
