Jerry, I'm glad they are doing more tests and are putting you on blood thinners.  My hubby takes that and he just has to go in and get it tested once a month...no big deal.  I'm sure the Dr.'s will get you all fixed up.

Jerry, I had a double post there because the 'puter told me it didn't go through when I replied to your post ("My treatment, the Dr. says we need to be on top of it").  However, when I tried to post it again, it became a new post...go figure!   

I almost fell out of my chair laughing when you told me to "kiss the old guy" for you.    Besides having dementia, he's also very homophobic...so I can just imagine his reaction if I gave him a kiss from a GUY on the forum.  If you don't mind a lot, I'll give him a kiss but I won't tell him it's from Jerry in California. 

As Kim said, yes, you do have to be careful with the coumidin.  DH bleeds like a stuck hog if he just gets a scratch or slight puncture.  Just make sure (while you're taking the coumidin) that you tend to any and all scratches and cuts (i.e., put a very tight bandaid on it and keep checking it).   In addition, you have to stop taking it before having a tooth pulled and before some medical procedures/tests.

I'm sorry you have to wait until Tues. to get the results of your tests.  That's kind of a PITA.
