Around the Pond Today... New Pictures added

This will likely take a couple of posts but my pond is starting to wake up and show some color. So before the storms hit today I thought that I would take a few pictures and share. It is interesting to note that the Splatterdock has sent up pads form it's deep position. The n. escarboucle has sent red pads to the surface and I THINK the tropical that tinkster sent me last fall is sending up a pad. it may not be that lily only time will tell.

All the Lotus Tinkster sent  are sending up pads, the lotus from last year is doing great and the new lotus has 4 pads up. all doing well so far.

The contrast is striking- I have one pad on one lily that has just started to come up. It's about 1" in diameter!

A heavy storm beat it up a little but here are some more general pictures. It will look better when I can cut the grass. Like I said she is slowly waking up.

Your pond is great!!! and your lilies and all the other plants are beautiful!  Your lilies have so many blooms...mine have quite a few pads, but no sign of buds yet.  I have a cala lily like yours and it's getting a flower on it.  The plant above the cala looks like something I think I have, didn't get any flowers last year, but growing like a weed this year so far.  Once again, gorgeous...

The white one immediately above is Arum lily or Zantedeschia aethiopica and the one above that is Aztec Arrowhead or Sagittaria montevidensis

could be worse, you could have married one who won't leave the "Frozen Tundra" of Wisconsin. ;D

I need to get a new arrowhead, mine died the first year and I've yet to replace it.  Andy your pond looks like it should be in a painting......always warms me up and puts a smile on my face o(:-), thanks so so much for sharing :hug:
