Sunny, 70s, Saturday Pix....
« on: April 19, 2008, 06:57:22 PM »
It was a glorious, almost 'HOT' sunny Saturday and the garden was coming alive with new growth! :)
Darmera peltata starting to bloom...leaves emerge after the blooms

Variegated Daylily

Sedum Pot on the chiminea

Dwarf Acorus in bloom...

Leaves emerging on my baby 'Golden Shadows' Dogwood

OK, I know this doesn't look like much, but it's my Gunnera, a subtropical that made it through the winter!

And a simple tulip

And that little lotus seed that floated....and still sprouted!  Just potted it up....  8)

The variegated daylily is really lovely. 8-)~ What color are the blooms?

Its a really strong green for a variegated - so many of then tend to have a yellow tinged green....

Thanks Myra, the Sedum 'Angelina' has its Winter coloration still, gets coral tipped in the winter.
Will turn bright chartreuse once it warms up all the way.

S, The daylily is a basic daylily orange, but double I believe.
I bought it wholesale at the end of the year 2007 in CT when we were on vacation.
Hasn't blooms for me yet. Yup, the variegation is pure white, and the green is grass green. 8)

Yes, it turns a coral-orange in the winter. (evergreen, does not die back and VERY hardy!)
In the summer is is a bright chartreuse color. 8)
