Magnum Lindsey Moore photos
« on: April 25, 2008, 12:55:19 PM »
Kat, and someone else asked about vivips from my "Magnum" which is a Lindsey Moore. She's neglected but not unloved. No current blooms, although two buds. When she blooms, they are huge flowers, six inches across, violently purple blue.  @O@

I have many vivips floating around. Send me postage and I'll send you a couple.

I'm not familiar with this one. Do you have a photo from last year in bloom?

Is this the one that's named after the little girl who died of cancer?

Are you offering to send one to any and all of us?  How wonderful!  If so, how much to cover postage, and where to we send our $ if we don't do PayPal?

But, gee, it's hard to decide between the lily - and the cute frog!

Glad to see you have that green floaty gunk too. No I mean glad to see I'm not the only one battling the stuff. The pond was doing great within a few days of starting it up but then something went wrong with the pump so it sat there for about three days with no circulation. And our temps were running in the mid to high 70s so boy did the algae take over. Now I'm filtering like crazy. Was glad to hear the temps were going to drop  to a more normal temp for spring next week.

I'd love one, if you have enough.  Can pay via Paypal.

Thanks, Brenda

I emailed everyone that wants a vivip - send me your name and address. I'll do this next week.

Yeah, Esther - where I have lilies I have green algae. I think its one of those symbiotic things. Where the water and soil is fertile enough that the lilies love it, so does the algae.
I let it grow until its good and thick, and then scoop it out with whatever is handy. If you don't let it get overgrown before you clean it, its more work, because the algae doesn't clump together as well. :)
