New seedling I wish it would bloom
« on: August 12, 2006, 08:26:01 AM »
This seed came up in a pot I left outside dry all winter. I sure like the leaf. Its almost big enough to bloom I think this leaf is bigger than my hand.

the pad looks great Gary!
Hard to believe we are actually breeding waterlilies for the look of the pads.

Cheers,

That pad has lines that make it look a bit like a turtle's shell . . . . pretty cool if you ask me!

very nice pad. for those of us who don't get blooms every day, having some interesting pads goes a long way towards creating beauty in the pond! mixing mottles, blotches and plain pads creates a very nice mosaic of patterns that makes my pond look healthy even on the otherwise dullest of days. and let's face it Sean, that fantastic dragonfly pic of yours wouldn't look nearly as cool on a plain pad! I absolutely agree with Dahlialama . . . . since I never get blooms, I really like interesting pads.  Came home last night to two blooms . . . one on graziella and the other on dauben.  Today I have several passion flowers blooming . . . . it's a good week.
