Need water hyacinth
«

I am a new ponder and I notice that my little 150 gallon stock tank is starting to get some green algae. I would like to get some water hyacinth to provide some surface converage. I'm willing to pay postage for some if you have extras.
TIA!

Thanks for the info. I believe it is legal in Kansas since the nurseries in town are selling them but they are asking for $5.00 per plant!! I am not sure I can afford to buy them at that price.

actually if you buy one at $5 they multiply super super fast....by the time you pay postage you will be paying about the same....hyacinth have to be mailed in ziplock bags and contain water so the roots don't dry out...mailed priority...so the priority shipping and water weight bring up shipping prices pretty fast...I'd go buy one locally and stand back...it will take over the pond before summer is up

Lorraine, I wish I had seen your post before today. Hubby bought 2 for me over the weekend so I think I'm good for now. Thanks for the offer.
