Tap.....tap, tap, tap.....tap, tap...............tap....
« on: May 27, 2008, 11:33:03 PM »
Several times a week I will be sitting at the computer when I hear a gentle tapping noise on the window.  When I look up I see this tiny little bird, a Bushtit I believe, standing on a branch and tapping on the window.  It's an active little rascal as it hops about from branch to branch looking for a meal only to return to tap on the window.  It actually leaves lip prints on the window..........well, some sort of prints anyway.....  I'm not sure if it sees its reflection or what, but this has been going on for about 2 months now.  The little fella is tough to get a photo of because he darts about so quickly.  By the time my digital focuses, he's moved.....  I shot these through the window this afternoon during his visit.  He usually has friends in the general area but he's the only one that taps at my window..... o(:-)

LGB  o(:-) (little grey bird)

They eat insects, but will eat seeds and suet. You might want to stick something out.
The energy it uses tapping on your window can be repaid.  @O@

He...or she...was back again this morning tapping at the window as his friends were busy talking to each other and finding meals...  These little birds travel in flocks and constantly chatter back and forth with their cute little peep sounds.  If you look closely in the first photo you can see smudges on the window.  Those are his lip prints lol

How cute is that!?!  Your little grey bird is so furry and friendly looking.  Put a small dish outside your window when they are are away.  Great photos.  I know it's not easy getting shots like these.

Cute

I had a squirrel that did that when she wanted peanuts, she would become quite irate if I didn't go out and feed her. She would run all the way around the house from my office window to the squirrel feeder in the backyard when I'd get up from the chair at the computer.

LOL, that is adorable. Last year I had a bird that fell in love with himself looking in my cars rearview mirror. The little fellow was all over the passenger side of the car to see himself and preen and puff. If I had to go somewhere he would get upset. ::)

How cute is that.  That's a cover shot for a magazine.

I bought a birdfeeder this year at Walmart that has a suction cup and also a little themometer you can read from the inside.  So far its been up for about a month and its never fell off.  It was only $4.

The birds seem to love it, even with us moving around inside the house.  Guess they've gotten use to it.
