Has graduated from the University of California, Irvine!!!!!  She is our 2nd and last to graduate at UCI and we are so HAPPY and relieved to have finished this part of her life.  @O@
Definitely a great Father's day gift from our precious, or our son says precocious, baby girl.  o(:-)

After experiencing my son's crowded graduatation 2 years ago we devised an accent for DD's graduation outfit so that we could spot her in a crowd.  I made a paper white Magnolia flower with a Monarch Butterfly clipped on it her cap.  It worked!  We could see her from very far and in the crowd of graduates!

The UCI graduation was Web-Cast Live for all friends and family to see.  Everybody could see her in the progression and as she walked up to the stage to be presented.  Everyone was thrilled to see the large white flower arrangement!

What a beautiful baby girl you have o(:-)
Now that is something to be proud of,   O0  Congratulations to you both.
A lot of work went into that, and I can understand you saying that you are happy and relieved.

Thank you so much everyone!  We are proud of our baby.  She is a very good trusting person and loving to all who know her.   o(:-)  We all know she is determined to succeed in the future and it means a lot to me that my friends at AP are so kind.

Tammie, lei's are very common in graduations here whether they are real or silk orchids.  I've seen money lei's too.  As to ties to Hawaii...my grandfather's parents immigrated to Hawaii and had a large family before it became the 50th state.  I still have - lucky butts  ;) - family living there on the main island.  Unfortunately we haven't visited them in a long time.

Congratulations to you all.  Your daughter is very attractive.  What a nice father's day gift....no more university bills  @O@   What was her major at UCI?  Did you make the plant sale at the UCI botanical gardens?  I went again with my friend Michael and came away with three drought tolerant plants for the parkway.

Thank you ladies!

Thanks Mike.  I forgot the important detail...She graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Biological Science.  Now she plans to study like crazy to take the MCATs in January so that she may apply for med schools.  I'm hoping she stays at UCI.  Cheaper to live at home!  :D  So university bills are yet to come!!!  :P

I didn't make the sale  :(  Whatcha get?  I've been running around like a chicken without a head trying to get too many things prepared for our special day plus I care for my mom's business (living) and had a few things thrown in my face to solve for her.  >:(-

Oh! How wonderful!  Congratulations to her and to you and your husband too.  She's beautiful and clearly very smart, a great combination.  I think the butterfly and flower were brilliant, I've seen those huge UC graduations and the unique ways of finding your graduate.  DDD indeed!  That will be another proud moment.

Thank you Jonna!  I learned from my son's graduation at UCI that there are way too many graduates and with the black gowns and caps it's very difficult to find your child.  Thank goodness for cell phones!  :D  But then again I don't think my son would have appreciated a big white flower and butterfly on his cap.  lol

MCP you know how the planning goes when they were just babes.  If we could work and save for their education and they finish school AND found work, we would have done our job well.  We are so WELL!!!  @O@  Thank you!!

Annette, she's beautiful! Job well done. My son used white tape and put 151 on top of his hat, so I spotted him right off the bat. My mom asked what it meant and when I told her Rum she didn't laugh.  lol I didn't know he'd done it but I laughed.
I'm just happier outside!
