Great shots everyone.  Just thought this would be a neat little thread to see all our little green visitors.

Fantastic pic Sprite, isn't amazing how they go from a tad to a frog.

I'm really not that close, I'm above on the deck a good, 3 feet or so.  I just zoom in.

Awesome frog pics! (I remember you sharing that pic before, Tink---do you still get snakes?   :P  )

I love my frogs, so far they haven't been a nuisance for me.

Here's one from last year, next to a lily happyoutsidegirl gave me:

And here are a couple I took today:

Tinks, was that a deformed frog, or a half-eaten frog?

Just curious, 'cause I'm participating in the Texas Amphibian Watch, and the Wildlife Dept. is really interested in knowing the occurance of deformities in amphibians around the state.  They track trends and etc. by noting when an anomoly is spotted.

It's at least an acre (natural pond).  You can see pics of it in this thread.  http://www.americanponders.com/forum/index.php?topic=6325.0

I've fished in it twice.  So far, one small brim, a gator, and a turtle.  The brim and the turtle went back in.  The gator surprisingly wished to join a witness protection program and has been safely relocated.  He is now living under an assumed name.

The pond is FULL of large turtles.  Last year, I had a beaver problem.  They're gone this year, thank the good Lord.  I figure my chances of ever having fish are zero.  But it is beautiful to look at.

Great shots of dem froggies everyone! I love frogs!
I just been seeing a few around my pond recently and mine are a little jumpy too.
I remember my first and second year of my pond I had a bunch of frogs and they
were so friendly. They wouldnt jump away, I could pet them easily and I hand fed them worms and they ate right out of my hand.
They would sometimes look for me when I approached the pond probably when am I gonna give them free food again. I was so dissappointed to see one die over the winter, he or she buried herself in the rocks of my waterfall and didnt make it.
I sure do miss those frogs.
Sorry, I dont have pics for you, never learned how to put any up on here yet and dont have a digital.
By the way, KyKim, what kind of digital camera do you have, it takes wonderful clear pics!

I had a distinct lack of frogs in the pond yesterday...which is weird.  And tells me that I must have had some snakey visitors.  But I agree with Tink...given the alternatives I guess I won't complain too loudly:o  We get gators all around our place...and in the bass pond.

Hi all....
I am a newbie to this forum. I have been hanging out at the Garden Web forum for a while and I thought I'd join up with you guys....We just built a new 6 by 8 foot pond this year and love it. We used to have a 100 gallon tub pond. One of my favorite things to do is take pictures around the pond and I thought I would share them. The first is one I took last year when we had the tub pond. The other is just from this year. I wonder sometime if it's the same green frog! I love these little guys...they are so photogenic. Enjoy!

Cute, GK.  How on Earth did you get that little guy to pose on top of the frog statue??

Welcome to the forum!  I KNOW you love that new, larger '08 pond.

since you said you like to take and share pictures, we'd love to see some of yours.  Especially the old pond and the new one.  Just start a new thread and post away!

This is so strange - sometimes when I log on here I can see the photo of frogs I posted (Reply #23) and other times I can't!  I just noticed that there are some others' photos I can see sometimes and not others.   Is there something I'm doing wrong with posting photos?   Can anyone else see my two frogs sitting next to a frog spitter?

By the way, from the looks of my photo and the photo posted after mine it seems the frogs are really attracted to those frog spitters.  Maybe they think it's Big Mama!    ;D
