FOrtunately I did not suffer the leaf damage I did last year and like some in my area did but the storm blew all the tall lotus buds over. They are so huge .. I have them stacked with bambo sticks

Aww, Tinkster, I think your garden is just beautiful. I hope your Lotuses recover.

We had hail a couple years ago that ended up with tattered leaves-

It stinks to lose Lotus flowers, but stinks even more to lose those lovely leaves. I sincerely hope your leaves made it! Good thinking for you to stake those flower stalks. I hope they make it!

I thought about you and Kim when watching the weather and they were saying how parts of Louisville and Lexington were getting pounded..
