Karen, was that tounge in cheek?
I have historically signicicant Life Magazines. I am told they are worthless. Sayonara!
Oh yeah, found a Mixmaster from the late 30s! Model # 1 Will look on EBay to see if it has value.
No, not at all. Like what Annette said, they are arranged so attractive, and the colors & patterns make it look like a work of art. It's really nice! Do you still have it? I'll bet that collection would be valuable to a collector.
I think your Mixmaster has value, and I suspect you could sell the Life Mags as well. Those old Life mags have great graphics and wonderful old advertising. We bought a couple of old '68 Eldorado ads from Life, from an antique dealer, and they were around 6.00 each.
We bought our vintage toaster on ebay... I think it's from the 50's, but we bought it because it actually TOASTS!

There are more important things than toast, but when you get a piece of toast out of an old toaster, it is genuinely perfect. One of Life's little joys.
Esther, I would so love to dig out all that wasted space and have a full basement. I was quoted 65,000 dollars by one remodeling company.

So, I guess we'll just live with it.

For now. Never know though, if I win the lottery the crawlspace is history.
