My next door neighbors pond
« on: July 23, 2008, 09:06:06 AM »
My next door neighbor, who helped me with my pond, gave me permission to post some pics of his pond here. He did all the work on the deck by himself. The patio blocks that you see in the walkway are homemade. He also built  a deck around a swimming pool The construction of the ground deck, pool deck, and walkway was all done last summer. He really has created a very nice, quiet, beautiful retreat in his yard

The photo of the goldfish  o(  does not give their size justice . The one that is at the top of the photo that is swimming towards the the top of the photo must way at least 3 pounds . The one at the bottom of the photo is a little smaller than that one

Look at pic#2 - the foam on the waterlooks like a fish skeleton.

My neighbour also just put in a pond - water went in yesterday. high on a hill, with muli-levels, one flowing into the other, very nice. I'll need to get some pics too.
(He had it professionally built though - does that count?)

Cheers,

Mike

I love a pond that you can get right up close to, with the deck and patio right around it.

what's the blue item in the waterfall?

Thanks to your neighbor for sharing, Rick.  He did a great job on his pond and surrounds.  Dino's are done up so funny!  #2 photo very eerie, Mike!!!  Pretty fish.

Thank you all. I never noticed the fish skeleton before  I think he is planning on removing the dinos . I like the dinos also.  They were his daughters ,who is in 5th grade, idea. The blue item that is in the middle of the waterfall is a glass ornament. I will have to ask where they bought them. After he saw my pond size ,he wished that he would have built his larger, he told me. He also told me, that if he redoes his pond ,he plans on having it go underneath the walkway that you see on the left side of the image. I will talk to them again to see if they will join our forum. I will also ask my other two neighbors ,who have ponds, when I see them if they will join
