Thanks LeeAnne for posting those links.  I'm not confident an Internet magazine will work.  I understand the cost savings aspect for Sue.  There is just something about being able to take a magazine anywhere to read.  We have Wi-Fi and often take the laptop outside to use but it's just not the same.  I'm one of those people who marks pages by dog-earing the corners.  Kind of hard to do with a laptop....  Il take magazines with me on trips and read them en route.

Ten years ago, perhaps more, Pam Ingle edited an on-line magazine for the Internet Pond Society.  Old timers likely still remember the IPS.  I really enjoyed reading that on-line but it was free.  I do a lot of reading on-line but I still like magazines to be made of paper, not electrons. :o

frankly, I think it sucks. I like printed magazines and have a year of paid subscription to go.

However, it doesn't look like it is going to continue and I thought people should have the link and the information to sign up for the online journal if they want to.

I dropped Water Gardening for Horticulture,
since Hort always has something about water features in every issue.

LOL  Actually those were my thoughts too but since I no longer subscribe to the magazine I was trying to be.....err......tactful :-\  (8:-)

I have the Hort Mag also and I think I will let my subscription lapse in lieu of subscribing to the Pacific or West coast version of Hort.  Hort had excellent articles but too much stuff was east coast.   Good reading but not applicable for my situation.

I don't like publications going to internet only. I too think it sucks! ;)
I don't like to read anything of great length online. I will print it out and look at it later but its not quite the same as having a color magazine to browse through.
Its the way of the future though. The paper I work for is looking ahead and planning to be completely online in about 5 years, maybe sooner. I just don't like that at all. For those of us who live in rural areas that don't have high speed internet available to us its a pain in the butt to use the internet very much at all. High Speed availability is going to have to catch up if so many publications turn to the internet.
