Houdini....See Photos of amazing feat!

I've had these red goldfish, maybe sarassas (sp), for over 7 years, now they are suddenly turning white.   

What happened?  They were beautiful, red, but now they're going white, white, white.  Now the coloring, is it in the scale or skin?  As they started going white they look horrible with patches of red wearing off in strange patterns.

I don't know what it is but I had a couple of Wakin do that at the pond in Cat City.  Weird looking while it is happening, like they are flaking off their skin.  They seemed fine the whole time and since then have been fine, just white.

Here are photos of Preggie the almost 8 year old feederfish.  She's had many babes over the years but that shouldn't be why she's changing colors.  Another similar male fish, aptly named Houdini, is also doing the magic change.  Couldn't get a good photo of that chicken but he's almost all white now with just a bit of red on its tail end/fin.

Preggie is the now white fish with irregular red coloring.
Houdini (one time red no-name) last photo swimming away is almost all white.
