greenthumbnails, it all started when I divided my original Pink Ribbon into 2 lilies.
I put one half of the Pink Ribbon in one of the big ponds at work, and the other Pink Ribbon was donated to the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens in honor of Judy Zuk. (who died of Breast Cancer)
The original Pink Ribbon pot which I thought was empty except for some soil and gravel, I plopped back down into the barrel, intending to some day plant it with a mini lily.
When I finally got around to dividing my mini lilies this spring, I noticed small pads coming up in the Pink Ribbon 'empty' barrel.
I hoisted the pot up out of the barrel, and there were pads coming up out of a small piece of tuber that I overlooked when I divided the lily in the fall.
So I left it in the pot, growing it out until it was big and strong enough to go into one of the big ponds at work.
So today was the day, the little Pink Ribbon was finally big enough to be moved into the big 'front' pond at work.
I also planted Lily Pons from Kat and a couple other tropicals from Kat.
