Hello Jonna, I did see the pictures from Merida, it was fun to see the lilies growing so well. I was in Richmond, VA recently at a symposium and ran into Porfirio, one of the organizers of the park and he is insisting the next visit be in Merida....so maybe someday I'll darken your doorstep.<g>
The 'perfect flower' was botanical humor, Marie.<g> All flowers that have both an androecium ( boy parts) and gynoecium ( need I say?<g>) are classified as "perfect". Every definition I have read mentions that they must be present, but doesn't specify they must be fertile.
