A few blooms and interesting foliage plants today...
« on: October 12, 2006, 10:22:15 AM »
These are just a few plants that are still doing well with our cooler nights as fall sets in.
The Thunbergia Alata is still blooming up a storm (Black eyed Susan vine). The Tropaeolum peregrinum (Canary Bird Vine) is almost finished for the season. There is a pot of interesting ferns hanging on the wall and the Farfugium japonicum (Leopard Spotted Ligularia) is beginning to fill in nicely.

Cheers,
Sean

As I sit and look outside at what is left, it is great to see those lush green plants of yours.
I like that spotted ligularia.

Hi Steve,

In a round about way, that Leopard spotted Ligularia comes from our very own Mikey who gave a division to MikeW a few years back when I went to meet him at his little oasis. MikeW and I moved his Ligularia back in June while I was visiting him to a new location where it was under a water tap, this plant loves water!
I brought a very small tuber home and it is growing very well.

Cheers,
Sean

Love those ferns!!  o(:-) Great pictures. Everything is beautiful. Is the Canary Bird Vine annual or perennial?

I saw Mickey's ligularia.  I decided I had to have it.
Mike never turned his back on me.  Cops! {-)
Seriously it is a must.
