I got a great deal (I think) at Lowes today on these three plants (they were 3 for $10).  Never had any before but thought they were awfully pretty, anyone know what kind they are?  Sorry for the not so great pic's!

That was a good deal. Hibiscus rosa sinensis which is the tropical hibiscus. Must be indoors during winter and can be kept in a sunny window or greenhouse. Prone to spider mites indoors.

LeeAnne,

Thanks, does that mean I can't plant them in the ground here in Alabama - zone 8b - that i need to leave them in pots and take them in when it cools down?  I tried searching, but since I didn't know what kind they were for sure, I was having a hard time finding information.
