IT'S A GIRL!

Friday morning my baby girl was born, her name is Addyson o(:-) o(:-) o(:-).  She was 4 weeks early but is doing fine.  The poor little thing had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck and she had some problems with being able to suck, swallow and breath at the same time.  So she had iv's in her to give her fluids, and she had to stay under a heater to keep her body temperature up because she couldn't on her own and she had to stay on oxygen for a probably 14 hours because her oxygen level wouldn't stay up. So I didn't even get to hold her until she was about 20 hours old and I didn't even get to see her until she was over 12 hours old except for the few minutes I got to after birth, which ended up being natural, no drugs (that's a whole other story).  But all is good now and we are home. 

My other babies Ally and Keagan just love her to pieces  o(:-) o(:-).  Now they fight over her and who gets to do things for her or who gets to hold her.  That's all they needed was something else to fight over but at least it is a good thing  :).

I'm so glad to hear she's doing ok ! and you of course .

Oh Monica, such a difficult time for you, Addyson, and your family, I'm sure. Glad to hear she's doing well finally. This health stuff is so uncertain.

My cousin had the same problem with her second birth but the baby didn't make it. I'm glad that medical technology has improved since then.

Congratulations!  No drugs sounds like when I had my daughter - the doctor comes strolling in, thinking there's plenty of time... but surprise!  to late for any drugs!  So your Addyson will be like my Kelly - literally a pain in the b**t from the beginning!   lol  Glad everything worked out so well!

Congratulations.....glad everything turned out well.  I'm sure you will more then make up for the 20hrs you could not be with her.  Take some time and rest  as all 3 will soon need you at the same time, usually when you are on the phone or in the bathroom ;)  Can't wait to see pictures!!

Monica, she is absolutely perfect!!!!  The one picture in the hospital (I'm pressuming) looks as if she is smiling.  Your other childeren look as if they will love and take care of her, you are very blessed.
